Sleep cheap in Indonesia

Dreaming of Bali and beyond. This time, I made it to Ubud for a week of yoga and meditation at the Yoga Barn and explored a bit of the Gilis before heading back to the Maldives. The truth?  Ubud got me at the first smile, but the Gilis… not sure what is all the fuss about. Here is where I stayed.

Yarama Cottages, Ubud – Bali Indonesia

Steps away from Yoga Barn, this room was my everything for 6 days of intense yoga. The room is perfectly clean and comfortable, the bed is just what you need and the rooms have a little patio with a table and a chair where you get breakfast served at a time of your choice. The bathroom has a bathtub which might seem nothing, but after a day out & about you might just enjoy a candle light bath before tucking into bed. After all, you are in Bali.  yarama-cottages.ubudhotelsbali.net/en

Seger Reef Homestay, Kuta – Lombok Indonesia

Found it on Lonely Planet. Ok, this was the cheapest and it shows. A bed and a toilet, that’s what I needed for my two nights in Kuta Lombok. Not that I needed any longer there, I was a bit disappointed and didn’t quite get why people say that Lombok will be the next Bali. Long long way to go. (www.Idontthinktheyhaveawebsite.com )

To continue my yoga saga, I stayed here for a couple of nights, a bit overpriced but lovely yoga classes and café. The room is tiny but I picked the option with private bathroom and AC for the last leg of my trip, it didn’t quite look like in the pictures of the website. They also have sharing options. http://www.h2oyogaandmeditation.com
